The Deathworks of May Elizabeth Kramner

The Deathworks of May Elizabeth Kramner is a mixed media installation by The Poyais Group (Jesse Ball, Thordis Bjornsdottir, Olivia Robinson, & Jesse Stiles).  It is comprised of tents, pavilions, text, self-performing reed organs, and incandescent light bulbs.

Deja Rendez Vous

Deja Rendez Vous was a five-channel live audiovisual performance event that took place on the waterways of Houston, Texas.  Co-produced by the Center for Land Use Interpretation in March 2009, Deja Rendez Vous draws connections between the founding of Houston, its emergence as a global city, and the sesquicentennial of the oil industry.  The commemorative event commemorated commemoration, a spectacle celebrating celebration and spectacle.

Battle Helmet

The Battle Helmet is a sensor-based instrument that was designed and built by the jesse stiles 3000 for the main purpose of defeating adversaries . The helmet contains an imbedded accelerometer that feeds continuous 3-dimensional head movement data to the jesse stiles 3000 performance software which in turns displays activity data on the helmet’s mounted LEDs.
